It looks like the book you’ve seen on every library shelf. It feels like the book you’ve read a hundred times. But this custom-printed edition allows anyone to perform a professional "Book Test" with zero practice.
THE EFFECT
You hand your spectator the book and ask them to open it to any page they like. To make it even fairer, you tell them they can flip forward or backward a few pages until they land on one they are happy with.
You ask them to look at the very first word on the page and just think of it.
Without ever looking at the book, you begin to describe the word. You tell them if it’s long or short. You tell them if it can be drawn. You even name the starting letter. Then, you say the word out loud.
